The first day’s prompt must be broad enough
to open itself and the entire month.
I check the usual places – I may have
to go renegade. I look for jump off
points in the books I’m already reading:
the August Wilson plays; my poetry groups;
the Dante daily reads – I’m in a funk.
It runs together in a common stream.
