NaPoWriMo 2022 - Day #16
A few years back me and my baby
(not meaning to objectify in any way)
on a lark took a bus trip to Montserrat
to see Our Lady, the black Madonna.
It was a mid-August day and Andalusia
was as hot as its near neighbor,
mother Africa. We stood in line
for what seemed like hours.
But it was well worth it. And yes,
I mixed some metaphors about it,
tying the experience…
